This is a finished poem of mine.
Note: I wrote this when I was visiting the Philippines back in 2011. That was the time when I went to my grandfather's funeral who died in 1999. One day, I saw a tabby cat there on the grass. That's where I got the inspiration from. It was originally a free verse poem but I decided to turn it into a cinquain.
Cat guards
Beside the grave
Of his best friend who passed
Guardian of its owner's rest
This cat
